Ristorante dei Fagioli is a very traditional Italian restaurant and the clients were mainly locals but there was also a good amount of tourists that come for a typical Italian meal. Reservations are highly recommended, as we were almost not seated because we did not make one. Depending on what you order and how many courses you get, the average cost for a complete meal is around 30-40 euros. There was an IGP recognition on the wall, which was a good sign. We ordered an appetizer of bruschetta (pomodoro fresco e basilico), two pasta dishes- tortelli di pasta fresca with ricotta, pere, pecorino, and pepe; and tagliatelle di pasta fresca with pomodoro fresco and basilico), and a dessert of cantuccini con vin santo. The tomatoes on the bruschetta tasted fresh and well seasoned with a good balance of olive oil. The ricotta and pear pasta had a great flavor, but a little more of the pear taste would have been nice. It was also a little more oily than desired. The tagliatelle was very simple but had a traditional and rich flavor. It was not anything special, but was well prepared. The cantuccini and vin santo complimented each other very nicely and this pair was a nice end to the meal. Overall, the experience was very pleasant. The atmosphere was quaint and welcoming, while the food was flavorful and not too heavy. It was also really cool to experience another restaurant that makes their own pasta.
