Tomorrow is the big day… the first day of events for the Tutto Toscana! program and we are ready to go!
This first week in NYC has been full speed ahead… tours of the James Beard House and Astor Center, shopping trips to the Chelsea Market and visits to Eataly and Great Performances. In addition to those program related field trips, we’ve experienced some New York serendipitous moments… celebrity chef sightings and Brooklyn Bridge photo shoots. What an amazing finale to this five-week program!
And you can really feel the buzz amongst this fine group of professionals and students. The energy is infectious and resembles the excitement of a young child on Christmas morning witnessed by the flurry of food preparations by the kitchen brigade, the checking of wine inventory by the sommeliers and final planning meetings by the event management team.
Although we have four days of events ahead of us, we will convene as a group tonight to perhaps enjoy a plate of pasta and a toast with Chianti… the kick-off moment to our weekend of all things Tuscan.
From the kitchen brigade to the wine and event management teams, this has been a momentous experience, representative of the hearts, souls and energy put forth by all.
Today its all about the last minute details; grocery shopping, pasta making, organizing service plans, reviewing guest lists, finalizing seating charts and preparing ourselves for the moment we have all been waiting for… a weekend of Tuscany in New York City.
