Find what Lorenzo Spagli has to say about coffee drinking culture during his stint in the Big Apple.
Thirst is a very strong thing to fight against. People from all over the world, no matter where, drink to cure thirst. That said, many kinds of drinks are available in the modern times we live in. If we pay more attention to what people drink at breakfast in the morning we’ll notice how certain people love to drink tea because they think it is healthier, less expensive, or for any other given reason.
However, I think coffee is much better than tea.
First of all, drinking coffee is better because of its many flavors and qualities. Drinking coffee is not just for the action itself; as an Italian I can attest for its real culture, the same goes for the wine to mention another example. Consider the multitude of coffee types out there. People from different parts of the world drink coffee in different ways to highlight the real flavor they look for, or they end up discovering it. The world offers many varieties and way sof serving coffee. Unfortunately people often end up drinking coffee without thinking about what they are doing. They don’t appreciate the moment created by coffee, by its time and taste.
In addition, drinking coffee is useful because of its caffeine content, and it wakes you up whether you need it or not. In this kind of civilized age people usually work the whole day, then they come back home late and end up stealing a few hours from sleeping to spend time on cultivating hobbies. This makes coffee really effective because in the morning it sometimes is the only solution to jumpstart our brains. Or perhaps for some it could be just an impression of feeling more awake without any particular chemical connection between caffeine and the brain. The point is that is coffee makes us feel better .
In conclusion, those who probably need 25 hours days choose coffee instead of tea. But beyond the “need”-based approach to coffee, those who want to become coffee experts understand how much pleasure is also derived from the coffee-drinking experience.
