Heaven on 9th / Brigade Video Interview

Everyone gets excited for different things when in NYC, and rightly so for the city’s amazing diversity. For us, a visit to the Chelsea Market was like a kid going to Disneyland for the first time. On Monday, the team had the chance to tour this market with Chefs Andrea and Simone. You could feel everyone’s excitement as we walked through the stores, tried the food, took in the different aromas, and saw the movement within the market’s spaces.

We discovered that the specialty stores focused on the authenticity of the products, we felt as if transported back to Italy in the Italian specialty store Buon Italia that offers premium quality products. We saw specialty bakeries and bakery products, the explosion of colors at the Manhattan Fruit Exchange and the Lobster Place. Being from Mexico City, I even felt at home eating an authentic taco!
