Taking on the JBF Dinner

Week 2 is a crucial one, with several challenges awaiting us:

We’ve already gotten off to a big start for the wine department, beginning with a firsthand encounter with another JBF wine sponsor, Marchesi Mazzei at Ganzo. Watch out for a dedicated post in the next few days. We’ll also be talking in-depth on our blog about our other wine sponsors, Capannelle and Volognano, and their special take on how their products express Tuscany.

Menu-wise, we are testing our way through the JBF dinner menu, which will be of crucial importance for our upcoming simulation dinner. This Thursday, our team of faculty and students will offer an exclusive preview of the JBF dinner at Ganzo. The event will be an important opportunity to test our food/wine knowledge and our presentation of the TuttoToscana program and concept to a real audience. We anticipate utilizing the feedback and perspective gained to fine-tune our strategies for NYC.

Our goal is to lock down our familiarity and confidence with James Beard Foundation-related events in order to turn our focus on New Jersey City University and the High School of Fashion Industries, which will require different approaches and interpretations of our Florence: A City of Many Appetites theme.
