Enoteca Fuori Porta

The Enoteca Fuori Porta is located in a beautiful area across the river, near the big hills that head up towards Piazzale Michelangelo. There are lots of trees in the area and it is a very quiet street. The atmosphere of the enoteca is casual with a nice décor. They had a nice patio setting and we picked a table outside. The waitstaff was extremely friendly and very knowledgable of pairing wine and personal tastes. They have a typical enoteca style menu with great wines, small plates of food, and appetizers such as crostini or cheese. The average cost of a meal is 15-20 euro. I ordered a honey, walnut and brie crostini followed by a farro gnocchi with pesto and zucchini flowers, and paired it with a 2013 Falanghina wine from Campania. The food and produce was fresh and used seasonal produce. The plating was simple and clean with fresh herbs as garnish. The seasoning of the food was incredible. Everything complimented the food very well; great fresh and yummy flavors! I had an amazing meal with great quality ingredients in a great atmosphere at a reasonable price.
