I Dolci di Patrizio Cosi

oReview by Maie Khali
A pasticerria is a pastry shop and contains a variety of breakfast items, pastries, coffees, and drinks The pastries are usually made fresh every early morning. In terms of Florentine culture,a pastry shop also allows for casual conversation while drinking one’s coffee, which is an important contribution as a social function in Italian life. The caffe pasty shop I Dolci di Patrizio Cosi hosts a wide variety of pastries and coffee drinks. The pastries are made fresh daily and can be easily viewed through the glass counter. Items range from €1.50 to €5.00 and include bomboloni, fruit tarts, cheesecakes, and croissants. Coffees offered are espressos and cappuccinos. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake for €2.00 and it was absolutely delicious. The strawberry jelly on top was very sweet and perfectly complemented the creamy cheesecake below. The pastries are served on a small plate with not much decoration and paid for at the counter. The price of the pastry was decent and it was well worth the visit. The people behind the counter were very nice also. I would return here and nowhere else!
